Youth ages 9-11 are now able to access the Fitness Centre with their parent or legal guardian. Upon completion of Youth Orientation Level 1, 9-11 year olds can use our cardiovascular and functional fitness equipment (i.e. BOSU’s, Balance Boards, Balls, Agility Ladders, and TRX!). One parent must attend this orientation and youth need to be accompanied by their parent/guardian at all times while in the Fitness Centre.
Youth ages 12-14 can access the Fitness Centre on their own on completion of Youth Orientation Level 2. This in-depth orientation offered by one of our Certified Fitness Consultants will teach the basics of proper age appropriate resistance training, cardiovascular exercise, core training and flexibility. Our fitness staff will be available on site to assist them and answer questions.
Orientations are provided by a Certified Fitness Professional, and participants must register in advance. At the end of the orientation youth receive a shoe tag demonstrating they have completed the program. This shoe tag must be displayed at all times while using fitness facilities.
