Athlete and Team Training

Trico Centre has developed a comprehensive training program for individual athletes and sports teams that deliver results. No matter what the sport, the type of training you'll get at Trico Centre will improve your teams speed, hand-eye coordination and explosive power.  Workouts concentrate on sports specific fitness training in a positive but hard-hitting team atmosphere.  This intense program gets players into high gear.  Trico Centre will work with your team needs and time frames to ensure success.

Each sport has their own specific exercises and we design the classes specific to your group and their level and needs.  Give us your team information and we'll take it from there.

Training Options

Teams can also choose to book any of the following special training classes, as outlined below.

Spin Classes
Spin classes are focused on cardio, strength, and endurance and are excellent for athletes. Workload and active recovery interval training maximize cardiovascular fitness.
Maximum:  14 athletes

Boot camps
Boot camps provide athletes with high intensity workouts that combine functional exercises with agility, power and speed training.  These classes will push participants to their limits and beyond in a controlled environment and corresponds well to the game of hockey.   Maximum:  20 athletes

Pilates is a body-conditioning technique designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body. Pilates targets the postural muscles deep within the body through a series of exercises and Pilates apparatus. Pilates is an excellent option for athletes, as it improves alignment, posture, strength, and flexibility.  Increased core stability will help increase a players power, and speed.  Improvements in posture lead to decrease risk of injury and improved body mechanics.  Maximum:  17 athletes

Yoga improves body alignment, balance and flexibility – all are important physical skills for athletes. Yoga also works on core strength, breath control, and mental focus. Increased balance and flexibility decrease a player’s risk of injury and improves stride length and speed.  Maximum:  17 athletes

TRX is a suspension training system that uses your own body weight to build total body strength, balance, flexibility, core and joint stability.  Maximum:  12 athletes
